On Sunday 1 March, OASE welcomes Vereniging Montium for Beyond Borders: an afternoon of dialogue, awareness and solidarity.
As political unrest in Syria and Iran continues to affect Kurdish communities, this event brings the situations in Rojava and Rojhelat into conversation with one another. Through expert lectures, a panel discussion and space for questions, the organisers aim to deepen understanding and create meaningful connections across struggles.
Beyond Borders is a four-hour fundraiser and dialogue event, structured in four clear blocks combining lectures, conversation and audience interaction. The programme is structured in four blocks.
Opening by Montium and participating charities, introducing the purpose of the fundraiser and the broader context of the event.
Two lectures offering an overview of the recent political and humanitarian developments affecting Kurdish communities in Syria (Rojava) and Iran (Rojhelat).
Two in-depth talks exploring regional power dynamics and specific themes influencing Kurdish autonomy and political realities.
A moderated panel discussion connecting both contexts, followed by audience questions and collective reflection.
