Nicky do Rosario’s Grão de bico, served at OASE’s Strandtent this July, is a Cabo Verdean family dish rooted in resilience and shared tradition. Though not a daily staple in her mixed household, she rediscovered its simplicity and balance through family, where recipes and stories are passed down around the table. For Nicky, the dish tastes like the soul of Cabo Verde, offering nourishment, warmth, and a taste of cultural heritage.

Twee jaar geleden begon voor OASE een nieuw hoofdstuk. Met een nieuwe missie, visie en directie spraken we de ambitie uit om een cultureel podium, café en lab te bouwen voor een duurzame en rechtvaardige stad. Een plek waar mensen elkaar ontmoeten, nieuwe ideeën ontdekken en samen werken aan een positieve toekomst waar het welzijn van jezelf, je omgeving en de planeet centraal staan.

OASE viert 2-jarig jubileum

Twee jaar geleden begon voor OASE een nieuw hoofdstuk. Op vrijdag 20 maart vieren we de heropening van OASE’s Kantine met een avond helemaal in het teken van de Mexicaanse cultuur. Daarmee trappen we twee weken af waarin we de creativiteit, energie en verhalen uit Mexico centraal zetten. Verwacht een traditioneel familiegerecht van gastchef Belén Gutiérrez, een piñata-workshop van Tante Maria en de opening van de foto-expositie Viva la Frida van Sergio Cruz en Richard Beukelaar.
