On Sat 16 May, ZINA Radio & YAS present an Iran-centred cultural evening bringing together an zine launch, art market, fashion, music and community.
Turning art into support
This event is all about supporting artists in Iran. We’ll be selling as much work as possible by Iranian makers who are currently still living there. Because of unstable internet and ongoing restrictions, it’s incredibly difficult for many artists to share or sell their work internationally. Posters, prints and tattoo designs are one of the few ways artists in Tehran can still reach people outside Iran. We’ll be printing selected works in Rotterdam as posters, risograph prints and screen prints, with all proceeds going directly back to the artists in Iran. So if you’d like to support Iranian makers. Come by, spread the word, and take a piece of art home with you.
Iranian art, zine, garments, vinyl & dinner
Throughout the evening, we’ll launch Zina Zine Issue #2, showcase NONIST garments alongside art prints, posters and works by Iranian artists and creatives. There will also be vinyl records and LPs available, currently making their way from London to the Netherlands.
Guests are also invited to join a dinner serving Yasmin’s family recipe for Mirza Ghasemi, a comforting Iranian dish rooted in sharing food, stories and time together.

About NONIST
NONIST is an Iran-based collective and brand focused on upcycling, fashion and artistic expression. Their work explores identity, alienation and survival through garments and reclaimed materials. NoNist explores contemporary ideas of gender, body and clothing, translating collective memory and domestic experience into narrative-driven objects and garments.
