How do we build bridges in a time that seems to reward division?

In this edition of Science on Tap, you’ll get a short, thought-provoking talk from Jamie van der Klaauw (Erasmus University Rotterdam) on Democracy Under Pressure.

What happens when people no longer feel part of society? When does a difference of opinion tip into polarisation, and when does that become a problem? And how do we stay connected in a world where divisions feel increasingly visible?

Together with the audience, Jamie will explore these questions and open up a shared conversation. How do we actually build bridges? And what does that ask of us, as individuals, and as a society?
