De Kantine
April

This spring, we gather by the Maas to celebrate Sizdah Bedar, part of Nowruz (Persian new year).
On the 13th day of Nowruz, people traditionally go outside to spend the day in nature. Marking a moment of renewal, connection, and letting go. During the new year celebrations, sprouts (sabzeh) are grown at home as a symbol of life and growth. On this day, they are released into flowing water, carrying away the past year’s worries and making space for new beginnings. It’s also known as Ashti ba Tabiat: reconciliation with nature.
At OASE, we’ll come together by the Maas to share this ritual, take a pause, and welcome the new season collectively. The afternoon includes a shared dinner at OASE's Kantine, where host and guest chef Yasmin will serve her family dish at OASE’s Kantine. After dinner, we’ll step outside to release the sprouts, letting go as part of the ritual.
Come as you are, bring a friend, and celebrate the arrival of spring with us.
