What to expect
Each Storytelling Night has a different theme. This time, we’re celebrating Wild, Beautiful Beasts, inspired by Dierendag (Animal Day) on 10 October. Each edition brings together 4–5 people who share an 8-minute personal story around a central theme. Everyone can join. The evening is hosted and curated by Maria Indjeian Diaz. The Storytelling Night takes place in a cosy setting at OASE, where you can sip and eat while listening to the stories unfold.
About the theme
Everyone knows the “not allowed on the bed” rule was never going to work. And that guilty side-eye could never actually make you angry. They understand it all, and when they leave the earth, a part of you leaves too.
But our relationships with animals don’t stop at the ones we let into our homes. Mosquitoes might have humbled you in an overnight battle, showing you that for big impact, size does not matter. You might have more in common with sharks than you think; looking a little mean on the outside, but on the inside you’re quite nice and simply trying to exist.
And sometimes, it’s simply a matter of perspective. Reactions to the sight of pigs versus kittens might be different…but they both have hearts, a soul, and stories. As do we, did you notice?

About Storytelling Night
Storytelling Night is a recurring evening at OASE where personal stories take the stage. Hosted and curated by Maria Indjeian Diaz, each edition brings together 4–5 storytellers who share an 8-minute story around a central theme. Expect an intimate night full of recognition, humor and unexpected perspectives. The kind that makes you see familiar situations in a completely different light.
